Actually, it meant I always had a girlfriend...and that they hadn't given up on me just yet, in spite of all the conversation (er, lectures?) on how great the DEAD were...

Perhaps it helped that I bought their tickets? It was ONLY $ 5, no big investment at the time...

Ah, youth!

(the amazing thing is, ONE of them is in the other room, 36 yrs later! shocking, I know; and just to head you off [ahem], no, she's not inflated...)

Hmmm....

I had a few retorts lined up, several involving inflated egos and boxing the bishop, but "No", I said, "it's time I rose above the fray and resist being drawn into the muck and mire with you lot...

Screw it. You mean you were able to find true love based on a $5 investment? I dropped over $200 and all I got was a rash.
